Ridge shot of the first ascent of Mustang Himal

Jon Mancuso was part of the first ascent of Mustang Himal, along with Melissa Arnot and Ben Jones. This is a 6,279 meters/20,600 feet high, previously unclimbed mountain in the Mustang region of Nepal.

In such extreme places, the weather plays a great part in determining how good your shots are. At most times, the light is too harsh or it is raining/snowing too heavily. This group managed to find good weather just before reaching the top.

Shot with a Canon 5D Mark III camera and Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS lens.

Wish I could get the full EXIF data for this pic. The snow isn’t overblown and the rocks are also properly exposed. A very balanced capture. Via
